The RedZone Advantage Story
RedZone Advantage started when University of Georgia Professor Brian Hoffman mentored quarterback Aaron Murray through a senior research project on sports leadership. The work didn’t stop when the semester ended.
Back when Aaron was leading Georgia’s offense, the expectations were absurd, the spotlight was constant, and every mistake had a soundtrack. At the same time, Brian was living in the world of leadership science, industrial-organizational psychology, and the research on what actually grows leaders. They were living in two worlds that usually talk past each other, the lab and the locker room.
What began as a faculty-student project turned into a bigger realization. Many of the best leadership-development practices used in elite organizations, such as structured feedback, deliberate goal systems, and stretch experiences designed for growth, were not being applied intentionally in high-performance sports settings. Teams trained skills relentlessly, but often left leadership to chance.
So they built what they wished existed
Instead of relying on speeches, slogans, or “just want it more,” they created a practical development system. It used 360 feedback to build real self-awareness, clear goals to turn intention into daily behavior, and challenge assignments that force growth through meaningful responsibility. Not just theory. Not just hype. The point wasn’t motivation. It was durable behavior change that holds up when the stakes are high.
What happened next surprised people, not because the tools were magical, but because they were applied with discipline. Leaders got clearer on what they needed to change. Teammates got better at telling the truth to each other. Accountability became normal instead of personal. Performance improved because communication and trust improved. Those are the hidden mechanics of execution under pressure.
Today, RedZone Advantage brings that same evidence-based approach to organizations and teams that operate in the real world, high stakes, limited time, and no patience for fluff.
We help leaders think clearly, communicate effectively, and execute when it matters most. We use tools that teams can apply immediately and a playbook they can keep running long after.
If you want a keynote that feels great for an hour, there are plenty of options. If you want leaders who perform better next quarter and keep getting better, welcome to your RedZone Advantage.
